Bower Bird singlets with art work by Jeanné Browne.
Fair Wear certified, carbon neutral and made from 100% Organic cotton. Scroll photos to see size guide.
Jeanné Browne is a Melbourne art-maker. Since 1992, her artwork has been significantly shaped by extended time spent north of Broome, with the Goolarabooloo Aboriginal community, whose land, knowledge and relationship to the area remains dynamic and alive.
Over this time, Jeanné kept extensive visual diaries in the vein of old naturalists’ journals, documenting the local understanding of place, the language and the six-seasonality of the area adjacent to the coast, especially its traditional food sources, and the uses of plants.
Proceeds from sale of this item support the work of Environs Kimberley.
